St. Vincent and the Grenadines remains the top exporter of live animals within the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States. This information was shared by Minister of Finance, Camillo Gonsalves, during a session of the House of Assembly on May 9th.
The minister highlighted that in 2022, the country exported live animals valued at $85.2 million. He emphasized that St. Vincent and the Grenadines consistently leads the Eastern Caribbean in the export of food and live animals, with $77 million worth of exports in 2013.
The minister also mentioned that according to OECS data, Grenada follows in second place and Dominica in third for live animal exports.
