In a triumphant announcement, the Carnival Development Corporation has unveiled the grand inauguration of Vincymas 2024, set to captivate audiences with a dazzling array of festivities at Unity Square on Friday, May 17th. Under the resounding theme of ‘Runs and Rhythm,’ the event promises an electrifying fusion of culture, music, and jubilation that is sure to leave a lasting impression on all attendees.
As the sun sets on Unity Square, the stage will come alive with the vibrant energy of young talents, as junior winners from various categories showcase their skills in a dazzling display of artistry and flair.
The pulsating rhythm of the DNA parade will take center stage, featuring captivating performances by acclaimed groups such as the Boozy Back/Monkey Band, Bois Bois dancers, Traditional J’ouvert revelers, T-shirt Bands, Steel Bands, and mesmerizing Drumming ensembles. The procession will wind its way from the Financial Complex, through the bustling Bay Street, before returning triumphantly via Back Street.
The official Launch ceremony, scheduled to commence at 7:00 pm, will be graced by esteemed dignitaries including the Hon. Carlos James, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development, and Culture, and the esteemed Chairman of the CDC, Mr. Ricardo Adams. Their inspiring speeches are set to ignite the spirit of celebration and unity among all attendees.
Adding to the evening’s allure is the ‘Flow First Run’ entertainment package, where ten talented artistes will compete for a coveted grand prize of $5,000.
