A new executive team has been elected to serve on the Union Island District Disaster Committee. Their responsibilities include preparing communities for potential hazards, enhancing their capacity for prompt response to save lives and protect property, and coordinating assistance activities before, during, and after disasters.The committee’s efforts are conducted in close collaboration with NEMO, ensuring effective management of local emergencies prior to national interventions.
