    SVG records 22 homicide for 2024

    On Monday, 26-year-old Kezron Deshong was shot at his home in Belmont, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.

    Deshong’s death marks the fourth homicide in the country within an eight-day span. This incident brings the total number of homicides for the year to 22.

    Last year, St. Vincent and the Grenadines experienced a record high of 55 homicides, with 52 classified as murders, highlighting a troubling trend in violent crime.
