St Vincent and the Grenadines Olympic Committee (SVGNOC) General Secretary Keith Joseph has been nominated for President of Panam Sports. The nomination will be voted on during the General Assembly in Paraguay this October.
Mr Joseph, currently the second vice president of Panam Sports, boasts a rich career dedicated to advancing sports throughout the Caribbean and beyond. He is also the President of the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC).
The Panam Sports Executive Board meeting is scheduled for October 1 at the Gran Bourbon Hotel in Asuncion.
Following this, the 62nd General Assembly will occur on October 2-3 at the CONMEBOL Convention Centre, where new officers, including the President and Executive Board Members for the 2024-2028 term, will be elected.
Joseph’s candidacy promises continued leadership and innovation, leveraging his extensive experience and commitment to the sports community.
His nomination for this prestigious position marks a significant moment for Panam Sports and the future of sports development, especially in the English-speaking Caribbean.
Formed in 1948, the Pan American Sports Organisation led the Americas Olympic Movement for over 75 years. The organisation’s primary mission is staging the Pan American Games every four years.
