Raphael Barbour, the Sales and Marketing Executive, handed over a cheque of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00) to provide for the evacuated residents currently housed in a main shelter adopted by the company.
Mr. Barbour stated that the company is responding to the immediate needs of affected persons and will continue to provide support as the country navigates through the post-disaster period. Additionally, the company donated tools and equipment to support groups and organizations involved in the cleanup operation on the affected islands.
For those preparing to repair and rebuild, the company has launched the “Hurricane Beryl Relief Sale” promotion, offering special discounts on building materials. A percentage of the revenue earned from this promotion will also be donated to relief efforts. Mr. Barbour mentioned that Layne’s Hardware is sourcing products to improve the structural strength of buildings and roofs, emphasizing the importance of engineering details in construction.
The management team expressed solidarity and sympathy in the wake of Hurricane Beryl’s devastation, particularly to the Southern Grenadines on July 1st.
