A seasoned police sergeant from the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is under investigation for alleged sexual misconduct involving two junior female officers. The sergeant, who has served for over 25 years, is accused of inappropriately touching one female constable and attempting to rape another, according to a police source.
The incidents reportedly occurred at a station in the Windward district. One of the alleged victims has since been transferred to the Kingstown district, while the other remains stationed where the incidents took place. The accused sergeant, currently on leave for reasons unrelated to the investigation, has been reassigned to another station within the same district.
Asberth News Network (ANN) spoke with two female officers who previously worked with the accused. Both women stated that the sergeant had made inappropriate advances toward them as well. “He tried to touch me, but I stopped him immediately,” one officer recalled. Another added, “I didn’t tolerate it—he knew not to try anything further.”
A male officer who worked with the sergeant described him as a “good, hardworking police officer,” but acknowledged, “His weakness has always been women.”
The sergeant has prosecuted numerous cases for the state across the country. This investigation mirrors a similar case from about five years ago when two officers were charged with sexual misconduct. After legal proceedings, both officers were reinstated to their positions within the force.
