    Chateaubelair Businessman Arrested for Assault and Property Damage

    Local businessman Edrick Wright, 30, of Chateaubelair, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses following a violent altercation in Mc Kies Hill on August 30, 2024. Wright faces charges including Wounding and Damage to Property.

    According to police reports, Wright is accused of assaulting a 31-year-old businesswoman from Mc Kies Hill, allegedly striking her and throwing her to the ground. The incident also resulted in significant property damage, with several items belonging to the victim reportedly smashed during the altercation. The damaged items include a grey iPhone 14 Pro Max, a Prada iPhone case, a Canadian SIM card, a Samsung Note 20, and a Flow SIM card, totaling $1,655.00 CAD and $1,815.00 ECC in value.

    In addition to these charges, Wright is accused of assaulting a 38-year-old sales agent from Mc Kies Hill on the same evening. The businessman allegedly boxed the woman on the right side of her head and pushed her to the ground.

    Wright is expected to appear before the Magistrates Court to answer the charges. The police investigation into the incident continues.
