The Temporary Facility at Arnos Vale is nearing completion and will soon accommodate around 300 students from the Southern Grenadines. The official opening is set for September 10, 2024, as confirmed during a tour of the facility by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, Architect Dimitri Samuel, and Minister of Finance Hon. Camillo Gonsalves.
Despite surpassing its initial budget of $2.5 million, with nearly $3 million spent, Minister Camillo Gonsalves praised the quality of the work, especially highlighting the state-of-the-art laboratory, library, computer room, and classrooms. He noted that the facility now stands among the finest educational institutions in St. Vincent.
The compound includes labs for Physics, Chemistry, and Home Economics, eight additional classrooms, and sports amenities like a basketball court, with a football field under development. Prime Minister Dr. Gonsalves also acknowledged progress on the Union Island Secondary School, which will be ready by Wednesday, offering ample space for secondary and primary students.
