Parkland Fuel, through its Parkland Pledge initiative, continues to support local communities by enabling Sol St Vincent employees to donate to charities and institutions of their choice. This year, the Dorsetshire Hill Government School was chosen as a beneficiary, receiving XC$1,086.76 to support its school meals program, which provides daily meals for 76.47% of its students. With the cost of a meal being only XC$1.00, the donation will significantly aid in nourishing the children, ensuring they are well-fed and able to focus on their education.
The school’s principal, Ms. Janice Gilkes, expressed deep gratitude for the donation, recognizing the positive impact it will have on the students and their families. An employee who participated in the Parkland Pledge emphasized the importance of community involvement and encouraged others to reach out to the school to support this vital initiative.
Parkland Fuel’s commitment to giving back is demonstrated through this program, which reflects its broader goal of making a meaningful difference in the communities where its employees live and work.
