Mechanic charged with Two counts of Assault

On November 6, 2024, police arrested and charged Raphael Peters, a 37-year-old Mechanic of Fair Hall, with two counts of Assault.
According to investigations, the accused assaulted a 25-year-old Aircraft Mechanic of the same address by slapping him on the left side of his face and beating him about the body with his hands causing actual bodily harm. Peters was also charged with assaulting a 23-year-old Bus Conductor of the same address by slapping him on his mouth with his hands causing actual bodily harm.
The offences were committed on October 26, 2024 at Fair Hall.
Peters appeared before the Serious Offences Court on November 6, 2024 where he pleaded not guilty to one of the charges and guilty to the other. He was granted bail in the sum of $1,500.00 ECC with one surety. Both matters were adjourned and  transferred to the Calliaqua Magistrate Court for trial and sentencing on November 11, 2024.
