Paul’s Avenue was rocked by gun violence early Saturday, November 30, 2024, as two men were fatally shot and two others injured in a late-night attack.

In a statement, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) confirmed officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots around 3:30 a.m. “Two of the men were pronounced dead at the scene shortly after by the District Medical Officer (DMO), while the other two were transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical treatment,” police stated. One of the injured remains in critical condition.

One of the deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Laurence Warren, a cart man from Paul’s Avenue, known locally as “Bolo.” The identity of the second victim has not yet been confirmed.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death as investigations intensify.

The RSVGPF is urging the public to assist with the investigation. “We are appealing to anyone with information that could assist to come forward,” the police stated. “Please contact Police Control at (784) 457-1211 or the Criminal Investigations Department/Major Crimes Unit at (784) 456-1810. All information received will be handled with the utmost confidentiality.”

Police assure that updates will be provided as the investigation develops.
