Kingstown, St. Vincent – December 19, 2024: Law enforcement authorities have reported the arrest of two residents from Campden Park in connection with separate incidents of assault, including one involving a police officer.
Labourer Charged with Insulting Language and Assault
On December 18, 2024, 20-year-old Seedric Patterson, a labourer of Campden Park, was arrested and charged with three offences: Insulting Language, Resisting Arrest, and Assaulting a Police Officer.
According to police reports, the charges stem from an incident at the Campden Park Port on November 18, 2024. Patterson allegedly used the insulting phrase, “You ah Bullerman,” in a public setting. When PC 1123 Sydney Thoman attempted to arrest him, Patterson reportedly resisted and subsequently assaulted the officer, who was executing his lawful duties.
Patterson is scheduled to appear before the Kingstown Magistrate Court to address the charges.
Maintenance Coordinator Charged with Assault
In a separate case, 38-year-old Larry Samuel, a Maintenance Coordinator from Campden Park, was also charged on December 18, 2024, with the offence of Assault.
Investigators allege that on December 9, 2024, Samuel assaulted a 35-year-old staff nurse from the same area by forcibly bending her right index finger. The incident occurred in Calliaqua.
Samuel is also set to appear before the Kingstown Magistrate Court to respond to the charge.
Authorities have not provided further details on the circumstances surrounding these incidents but reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining public order and ensuring justice.
