On Friday, December 20, 2024, the Serious Offences Court imposed a strict curfew on four defendants as part of their bail conditions. Altha James, Javid Grant, Kamal Ballantyne, and Vashon Thomas, who pleaded not guilty to the charges against them, are required to remain indoors from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily.

This curfew is among several stringent measures, including mandatory reporting to the Calliaqua Police Station every Monday and Wednesday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., surrendering travel documents, and the placement of stop notices at all ports of entry and exit.

Despite being granted bail in the sum of $20,000.00—with one surety each for James, Grant, and Ballantyne, and two sureties for Thomas—the defendants were remanded into custody until Monday, December 23, 2024, due to incomplete court documentation.

The matter has been adjourned to January 7, 2025.
