Andrew Williams of Fountain has been confirmed as the second homicide victim in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) for 2025. Williams succumbed to gunshot injuries late on January 2 after being rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
Details surrounding the shooting remain unclear, but police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Earlier that day, police discovered the lifeless body of 63-year-old Albert Lorenzo Lewis, a farmer and welder of Hopewell, Marriaqua, on the porch of his home. According to a press release from the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), Lewis was found with a wound to the right side of his face and scrapes on his body. A neighbor reportedly discovered the body and alerted authorities.
The RSVGPF is investigating both homicides as the nation grapples with the violent start to the new year. Further updates are expected as investigations continue.
