    Kingstown Park Residents Charged with Assault

    On January 18, 2025, police arrested and jointly charged Junella James, a 14-year-old student, and Cassandra James, a 32-year-old self-employed resident, both of Kingstown Park, with the offence of assault.

    According to investigations, the accused allegedly assaulted Sheniah James, a 16-year-old student of the same address, by hitting her on the left shoulder with a knife and striking her face with a plastic bottle, causing actual bodily harm.

    The offence was committed in Kingstown Park on October 10, 2024. The defendants appeared before the Serious Offences Court on January 20, 2025. They both pleaded not guilty to the charge, and the conditions of their station bail continues. Both defendants were ordered not to have any contact with the virtual complainant. The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Kingstown Magistrate Court for January 1, 2025.
