Kingstown, St. Vincent – February 4, 2025: The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) and the National Commission on Crime Prevention (NCCP) have reinforced their commitment to tackling crime through a collaborative meeting held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Police Conference Room.
The discussion centered on identifying key risk factors contributing to crime, enhancing public safety initiatives, and formulating comprehensive strategies for crime reduction. Officials from both agencies exchanged insights on aligning their objectives to create a more effective and coordinated approach to crime prevention across the nation.
The meeting brought together senior law enforcement officials, crime prevention specialists, and community engagement officers, including:
- Superintendent of Police (SOP) Junior Simmons – Officer in charge of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Unit and Public Relations & Complaints Department
- Senior Prison Officer (SPO) Gareth Clarke – His Majesty’s Prison
- Rodney Small – Director, NCCP
- Temora Garnes – Deputy Director, NCCP
- Sergeant 776 Stephen Billy – National Coordinator of Police Youth Clubs
- Sergeant 264 Dwight Matthews – Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) of the Police Band
