Kingstown, March 7, 2025 – The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has addressed public concerns regarding the recent repatriation of Chester King, a St. Lucian national who entered the country illegally and was later discovered to be wanted for multiple murders in St. Lucia.
According to a press release issued by the RSVGPF, King failed to clear immigration and customs upon arrival in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and was subsequently charged for immigration violations and remanded at His Majesty’s Prison.
“During the time of his detention, the RSVGPF received credible information from the Royal St. Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) that Mr. King was wanted in that country in connection to several heinous murders,” the statement read. It further confirmed that a warrant for his arrest, issued by the High Court of St. Lucia, was forwarded to local authorities.
To ensure his appearance before the High Court in St. Lucia, King was repatriated to his home country. The RSVGPF acknowledged that “some missteps were made during the process” but insisted that they were not done “out of disrespect for the court.” The decision, the release stated, was made due to the “exigency of the situation and the national security concerns associated with the presence of the wanted suspect in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.”
