St. Vincent and the Grenadines will soon get flights out of Atlanta, Georgia, as yet another major airline has earmarked this country as a premier tourism destination.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves made the announcement on radio
“Atlanta is the busiest airport in the United States, it is the hub in the south… it means that now we have international carriers out of London, out of Toronto, we have out of Charlotte, we have three airlines out of New York, we are having out of Miami and shortly we are having out of Atlanta,” Dr. Gonsalves said.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said that the tourism sector’s recent success indicates the transformative impact of Argyle International Airport. Hotels have increased capacity, with the current room stock reaching a thousand.
Meanwhile, Dr. Gonsalves said that the management of Myah’s Suites announced that they will undergo expansion, adding an additional 28 rooms to their establishment.
“He (Mcdowall) said the drawings are being finalized and he will be starting shortly with the expansion, am told Holiday Inn is booked out, in fact, overbooked for carnival,” the Prime Minister said.
