SVG-branded taxis to boost UK visibility and highlight direct Virgin Atlantic
    service from London
May 13, 2025, LONDON: Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, on Tuesday May 13, 2025, launched
its anticipated high-impact year-long advertising campaign in London, capturing the attention of
United Kingdom (UK) holidaymakers looking for a refined and refreshingly different Caribbean escape.
The ‘Discover More’ campaign was launched in collaboration with Virgin Atlantic on the streets
of the historic Kensington Court, as part of the destination’s efforts to increase visibility and boost
visitor arrivals to the Caribbean Island.
As part of the promotional campaign, 10 branded iconic London black cabs were unveiled
featuring eye-catching Saint Vincent and the Grenadines imagery. The popular London black cabs
will act as roving billboards across the city of London over the next 12 months, promoting the
destination and the convenient Virgin Atlantic flight from London Heathrow (LHR) to Argyle
    International Airport (SVD).
The campaign also supports holiday bookings via Virgin Atlantic Holidays, where six SVG
properties are currently featured: Sandals Saint Vincent, Bequia Beach Hotel, Blue Lagoon
Hotel & Marina, Young Island Resort, The Liming Bequia, and Bequia Plantation Hotel.
These listings allow UK consumers to explore and book SVG stays directly.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development
and Culture, Honourable Carlos James, welcomed the initiative as the multi-island destination
ramps up its presence as a globally competitive tourism destination.
“This campaign signals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ rapidly growing reputation as a globally
competitive tourism destination. This kind of presence in one of the world’s major tourism source value international travellers,” Minister James said.
According to the Tourism Minister, this strategic focus on the UK provides an opportunity for St.
Vincent and the Grenadines to further tap into the UK market, while capturing the attention of
prospective tourist to the destination, visiting the London metropolitan area.

“Our island is emerging as a must-visit destination by industry leaders and travel advisors, and we
are happy to reinforce that message with this year-long campaign in the London metropolitan area,
with a population of over 9 million residents and over 10 million visitors annually,” Minister James
    said.
The campaign coincides with SVG’s inclusion in Virgin Atlantic’s May 2025 digital Caribbean
campaign on Skyscanner and follows a record-breaking tourism performance in 2024. SVG
welcomed 102,766 stayover visitors in 2024, the highest in its history and a 22.5% increase over
2019 and a 25.6% increase year on year. UK visitor arrivals surged by 26.7%, highlighting the
importance of continued visibility in that market.
SVG’s rising international profile has been supported by recent accolades, including:

    • World’s Leading Nature Destination 2024 (World Travel Awards)
    • Caribbean’s Leading Nature Destination 2024 (World Travel Awards)
    • Destination of the Year – Eco Adventures (PATWA, ITB Berlin 2025)
    • Tourism Minister of the Year – Sustainable Tourism (PATWA, awarded to Hon. Carlos
      James)
Through its vibrant visuals and year-round presence, the London campaign reminds UK travellers
that Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is accessible, desirable, and uniquely positioned among
Caribbean destinations. The initiative is part of the government’s broader push to promote
sustainable tourism growth and inclusive economic development.
Other attendees at the launch included the SVG High Commissioner to the UK His Excellency
      Cenio Lewis; Paul Truss, Virgin Atlantic Holidays representative; Annette Mark, CEO of SVGTA;
and Natasha Anderson, Director of Sales for the UK and Europe
