    BARROUALLIE RESIDENT Charged with Drug and Drug Trafficking

    On June 2, 2025, police arrested and charged Jonte Francis, 21-year-old Labourer of Barrouallie, with the offences of possession of a Controlled Drug and Drug Trafficking.
    Investigation reveals that, the accused had in his possession eight hundred and forty-two grams (842g) of cannabis with the intent to supply to another and for the purpose of Drug Trafficking.
    The offences were committed at the Grenadines Wharf, Kingstown on June 2, 2025. Francis appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, and pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. He was granted bail in the sum of $2,500.00 ECC, with one surety. Additionally, he was ordered to report to the Barrouallie Police Station every Thursday between 6 AM and 6 PM. The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Serious Offences Court to June 11, 2025
