June 13, 2025 – Kingstown: On June 12, 2025, police arrested and charged Calvin Mathews, a 25-year-old Chauffeur of Barrouallie, with two counts of Assault.
Investigations revealed that the accused assaulted a 44-year-old Truck Driver of Biabou by hitting him on his left shoulder with hands causing Actual Bodily Harm. He was also charged with assaulting the same complainant by pointing a knife at his face with the intent to cause Bodily Harm.
The offences occurred in Kingstown on June 10, 2025. Mathews is expected to appear before the Kingstown Magistrate Court to answer the charges.
