The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) continues its vigorous efforts to clamp down on illegal firearms across the nation. On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, officers arrested Antonio Simon, a 32-year-old mason of Langley Park, Georgetown—also known as “Kartel”—for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

The arrest occurred around 1:30 p.m. along the Diamond Public Road, following a targeted operation by members of the Rapid Response Unit (RRU) acting on credible intelligence. A search was conducted on Simon’s person and belongings, resulting in the discovery of a 9mm pistol loaded with a magazine containing fifteen (15) rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Simon was brought before the Serious Offences Court on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to reappear in court on Monday, June 16, 2025, for trial.
