Assistant Commissioner of Police, Christopher Benjamin, has issued a strong warning to promoters and performers ahead of Vincy Mas 2025: any use of obscene language at events will result in an immediate shutdown.

Speaking during a recent press conference hosted by the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, Benjamin made it clear that law enforcement will be cracking down on vulgar content during Carnival.

    > “Any obscene language heard at any event — the plug will be pulled immediately,” Benjamin cautioned.

He also had a word of advice for vendors and bar operators, urging them to stock up on plastic cups for the Carnival season. “If you’re caught using glass bottles, the police will do what is necessary,” he warned.

Benjamin ended by reminding the public that safety during the festivities is a collective responsibility.

    > “Our job is to protect the nation, but we can’t do it alone,” he said.

The Police Force continues to appeal for cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure a safe and enjoyable Vincy Ma
