On June 18, 2025, police arrested and charged Joel Gill, a 27-year-old chauffeur and painter of Dorsetshire Hill, with the offence of assault causing actual bodily harm.
According to investigations, the incident occurred on June 16, 2025, when Gill allegedly assaulted a 69-year-old retired seaman of Orange Grove. He is accused of striking the elderly man on the legs, head, and left side of his face using a stone and a wheel spanner.
Gill is expected to appear before the Kingstown Magistrate Court to answer to the charge.
