Kingstown – Vincy Mas will now officially kick off with a brand-new event, Rhythm & RUM, scheduled for  Friday. This event replaces the previously held Fantastic Friday, which traditionally hosted the Calypso Semifinals.

Rodney Small, the new CEO of the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC), described Rhythm & RUM as a vibrant “kickstart party” designed to ignite the Carnival weekend.

“We just wanted to create a real Friday vibes… a rave-type atmosphere,” Small said. “Come as you are, and just have a time.”

The event will shine a spotlight on local rum, with all Vincy-made brands—especially the iconic Sunset Rum—being featured. Patrons can expect an organized “rum shop” experience with professional mixologists serving up creative cocktails. A variety of food options will also be available.

Before the main show, a pre-show will feature traditional cultural elements including pan-around-the-neck performances, fire eaters, bum drum, and baba dancers, giving the event a distinctly Vincentian flair.

Rhythm & RUM kicks off at 9:00 PM and tickets are priced at $30.
