    Issued: 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 3, 2025
Prepared by: Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services

A Flash-Flood Watch is in effect for St. Vincent and the Grenadines until 6:00 PM on Friday, July 4th, 2025. The public is urged to remain on high alert as heavy rainfall from a tropical wave increases the risk of flash flooding and landslides, especially in low-lying areas, near rivers, and on hillsides.

Rainfall totals are expected to range from 50 to 75 millimetres (2 to 3 inches), with isolated areas receiving even higher amounts. Scattered showers, thunderstorms, gusty winds, and periods of moderate to heavy rain are likely to continue through Thursday night and into Friday.

Residents and motorists in vulnerable areas should take precautionary measures, monitor updates, and be prepared to act if conditions worsen.

Shower activity is forecast to gradually decrease late Friday, with some rain lingering into the weekend.

This Flash-Flood Watch may be upgraded to a Warning if necessary.

📞 For further information, contact the Meteorological Services at (784) 458-4477 or email [email protected].
