The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has launched a homicide investigation following a shocking confession and discovery in Gibson Corner.

Osley Delpeche, a 57-year-old carpenter of Gibson Corner, was found dead in his bedroom on Wednesday night, July 2, 2025, with what appeared to be multiple chop wounds to the head and body.

According to police, around 9:45 p.m., a 22-year-old male—Delpeche’s son—walked into the Central Police Station and admitted to killing his father at their residence. Officers from the Major Crime Unit swiftly responded and found Delpeche’s lifeless body at the scene. He was pronounced dead by the District Medical Officer.

The crime scene was processed, and several pieces of evidence were collected. The suspect remains in custody and is assisting with investigations. A post-mortem examination is expected to determine the exact cause of death.

The RSVGPF has extended condolences to Delpeche’s family and is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
