St. Vincent and the Grenadines has once again finished at the bottom of the table in the 2025 Windward Islands Schools’ Games (WISG), held on home soil. This marks the third consecutive tournament—after 2019 and 2023—where SVG placed fourth among the four participating countries.

SVG accumulated only 19 points, finishing behind overall champions Grenada (39 pts), Dominica (29 pts), and St. Lucia (23 pts). The host nation’s points largely came from first-place finishes in Football and Netball, where SVG remained unbeaten.

    SVG’s match results included:

Football: Wins over Dominica and St. Lucia (2-1), and a draw with Grenada (0-0).

Netball: Wins over Dominica (47-21), Grenada (32-28), and St. Lucia (49-12).

However, SVG placed last in Volleyball, Basketball (both genders), and Track and Field, scoring 207 points in athletics, compared to Grenada’s 317.

Despite the overall team outcome, SVG athletes claimed 6 MVP awards:

    Lazaro Lynch – Football

    Jueneka Quow – Netball

    Damari Frederick – Male Volleyball

    Maxianna Dublin – Female Volleyball

    Jemari Ross – Male Basketball

    Kesiann John – Female Basketball

Grenada took the championship with victories in Female Volleyball, Male Basketball, and Track and Field, and also claimed top athlete honors in athletics via Shaquan Toussaint and Annalisa Brown.

St. Lucia was named Most Disciplined Team.

The next WISG will be hosted by St. Lucia in 2026. SVG last won the tournament in 2010.
