The Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture officially concluded its 2025 Kids’ Tourism Summer Camp on Friday, August 8, bringing together 147 children—50 more than last year—from across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Over the course of a week, participants engaged in immersive tourism education, cultural activities, and environmental stewardship. The camp complemented the Ministry’s Tourism Sensitisation School Visits Programme, which has so far reached more than 700 students nationwide.
Through interactive presentations, guided field trips, and practical workshops, the children gained a deeper appreciation of the nation’s natural and cultural assets and their role as future tourism ambassadors.
The Ministry described the programme as an investment in the next generation, aiming to nurture pride in local attractions, preserve the environment, and encourage warm hospitality towards visitors. Tourism education initiatives will continue year-round to empower young people to protect and promote Saint Vincent and the Grenadines as a premier destination.
