Dear Editor,

While crime soars, debt explodes, and corruption runs unchecked, two self-appointed “defenders” are more interested in taking shots at the New Democratic Party than holding the ULP to account. This is the story of envy, ego, and a desperate grab for attention.

For twenty-five years, St. Vincent and the Grenadines has been stuck under ULP rule. Twenty-five years of rising crime, unbearable debt, crumbling roads, and corruption so routine it barely makes the news. Generations have endured hardship and waited far too long for better days.

Now, finally, there is hope. The New Democratic Party is everywhere, in villages, towns, and communities, on the radio every day, on social media non-stop. They are listening to the people, answering questions, and laying out policies that make sense. They are doing a wonderful job and the momentum is real.

And that is exactly when Travis Harry and Adriana King decide it is their time to shine.

Harry behaves like the country is his personal lecture hall and everyone else is a slow learner. He talks endlessly, convinced his opinion is the only one worth hearing.

Adriana’s case is worse. For most of the ULP’s long reign, she was one of Ralph Gonsalves’s most loyal cheerleaders, a keen supporter who stood by him through scandal after scandal, injustice after injustice. She never once spoke out. When Michelle Andrews said she was raped in 2008, Adriana stayed silent, not for a week, not for a month, but for sixteen long years. Only when Michelle was sick and dying did she finally speak. Now she struts about as if she is the nation’s fiercest defender of truth and justice, her ego so bloated it could cast a shadow, an ego that  .

Let us be honest. This is not about principle. It is not about justice. It is about envy. These two cannot stand that the NDP is doing what they never could, inspiring people, gaining trust, and building a movement that is visible for all to see. They are self-consumed, self-important, and more focused on tearing down the only real alternative to twenty-five years of misery than on holding the government to account.

The NDP should ignore them and keep going, keep meeting the people, keep spreading their vision, and keep pushing the policies that promise a prosperous, united, and safe St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The country needs progress, not petty distractions.

    Fed up Now!
