The Royal Flower – likened to the treasured blooms of the Botanical Gardens by acting Chairperson of the Miss SVG Committee, Karen Veira – was officially unveiled on Saturday morning, when seven young ladies were introduced and sashed by their sponsors.
The intimate ceremony marked the contestants’ first official interaction with the media, as they charmed with grace and elegance, setting the tone for what promises to be a memorable show come November 1st.
In her address, Miss Veira described the delegates as “unique, radiant and ready to bloom… petals that have opened themselves to growth, discipline, and discovery.” She also urged sponsors to act as mentors, guiding and supporting their representatives throughout the pageant journey.
Veira highlighted two significant changes for this year’s competition:
Cultural Wear will now be judged at the Independence Day Parade, themed “Once Upon a Village”, honoring Vincentian village heritage.
Swimwear will feature all delegates in the same color, but with individual flair expressed through design.
Former Miss SVG 2022, Jada Ross, encouraged contestants to nurture relationships with their sponsors by practicing gratitude, professionalism, and value creation – lessons she noted would serve them long beyond the competition.
Delegates also shared their motivations and aspirations:
Miss Instacash, Charisma Charles – Inspiring young girls to believe their dreams are valid regardless of background.
Miss Grenadine House, Enecia Clarke – Embracing self-reflection and growth throughout the journey.
Miss Republic Bank (EC) Ltd., N’zinga Deroche – Exuding confidence gained from the empowerment of the pageant.
Miss Executive Air, Elreka Gaymes – Describing her entry as “Positive Peer Pressure”, a chance to bond and build friendships.
Miss Darcheville Construction Equipment Sales Ltd., Lourie John – Aspiring to complete her Master’s degree and contribute to shaping young minds, already progressing with a scholarship for her Bachelor’s.
Miss Lotto, Kayla Jordan – Focused on personal growth, confidence building, and advocating for young people.
Miss Lynch Caribbean Brokers Ltd., Anaelia Williams – Dedicated to inspiring youths, proving that challenges can be overcome.
Also present were Miss SVG 2024, Zayda Stephens, who delivered opening remarks, and Miss SVG Teen 2025, Kevisha Richardson, who introduced the contestants for sashing. Deputy Chairperson Isheka Deriggs extended appreciation to the event’s sponsors.
With charm, ambition, and the promise of growth, these seven blossoms are set to make La Fleur Royale a dazzling showcase this Independence season.
