On August 31, 2025, police arrested and charged Evander Rafique Antoine, a 35-year-old construction worker of Layou/Campden Park, with the offence of handling stolen goods.
Investigations revealed that Antoine, knowing or believing a black and silver belt to be stolen property, dishonestly received it for his own benefit. The offence was committed in Campden Park on September 27, 2024.
Antoine appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Monday, September 1, 2025, where he pleaded guilty to the charge. He was remanded in custody.
