Police Constable Kyle Nimblet, a 22-year-old officer of Byrea, has been remanded in custody after appearing in court on charges of Attempted Murder, Aggravated Burglary, and Damage to Property.

Nimblet was arraigned before the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in connection with the brutal stabbing of his ex-girlfriend, Raffia Sardine, a 20-year-old sales representative of Villa. He was not granted bail, and the matter has been adjourned and transferred to the Serious Offences Court for September 16, 2025.

Investigations revealed that on September 6, 2025, Nimblet allegedly attacked Sardine outside her home in Villa after she ended their relationship. During the incident, he reportedly damaged an aluminum and glass window valued at EC$400.00, belonging to Sardine’s mother, by smashing it with an object.

He was also accused of entering the property as a trespasser while armed with a knife and a pair of scissors, which were allegedly used to stab Sardine about her body multiple times.

The police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the Criminal Investigations Department or the Calliaqua Police Station.
