Two Mechanics Charged with Wounding, Damage to Property, and Indecent Language Following Evesham Incident

(1) Duo Charged with Wounding and Damage to Property

November 5, 2025 – Kingstown: On November 3, 2025, police arrested and charged Ozarry Joseph, 25 years old, Mechanic of La Croix, and Brani Alexander, 25 years old, Mechanic of Evesham, with the offences of Wounding and Damage to Property.

According to investigations, the accused men unlawfully and maliciously wounded a 28-year-old Police Officer of Calliaqua by boxing her about the body, choking Two Mechanics Charged with Wounding, Damage to Property, and Indecent Language Following Evesham Incident
her, and pushing her to the ground. They were further charged with damaging one (1) black Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus cellular phone valued at EC$1,200.00, by smashing it on the ground — the property of the said Police Officer.

The offences were committed at Evesham on November 1, 2025. Joseph and Alexander appeared before the Calliaqua Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, where they pleaded not guilty to the charges. The conditions of their station bail remain in effect, and the matters were adjourned and transferred to the Mesopotamia Magistrate’s Court for November 7, 2025.

(2) Mechanic Charged with Resisting Arrest and Indecent Language

On November 3, 2025, police arrested and charged Ozarry Joseph, 25 years old, Mechanic of La Croix, with the offences of Resisting Arrest and Indecent Language.

Investigations revealed that the accused resisted the arrest of a Police Officer acting in the due execution of her duty. He was further charged with using indecent language — “way the f^&k you telling me bout strength” — in a public place.

The offences were committed in Evesham on November 1, 2025. Joseph appeared before the Calliaqua Magistrate’s Court on November 4, 2025, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges. The conditions of his station bail continue, and the matters were adjourned and transferred to the Mesopotamia Magistrate’s Court for November 7, 2025.

(3) Mechanic Charged with Indecent Language

On November 3, 2025, police arrested and charged Brani Alexander, 25 years old, Mechanic of Evesham, with the offence of Indecent Language.

According to investigations, the accused made use of indecent language — “way the mother c&t you does harass the boy for, you nah weary”* — in a public place.

The offence was committed in Evesham on November 1, 2025. Alexander appeared before the Calliaqua Magistrate’s Court on November 4, 2025, and pleaded not guilty to the charge. The conditions of his station bail continue, and the matter was adjourned and transferred to the Mesopotamia Magistrate’s Court for November 7, 2025.
