November 7, 2025 – Kingstown: On November 6, 2025, police arrested and charged Akeil Mathews, a 24-year-old Labourer of Lowmans, with the offence of Handling Stolen Goods.
Investigations revealed that the accused dishonestly appropriated a quantity of personal effects and household items (value unknown) – for his own his benefit.
The offence was committed in Cemetery Hill, Bequia, on July 28, 2025. Mathews appeared before the Bequia Magistrate Court on November 7, 2025, and pleaded guilty to the charge. The matter was withdrawn for want of prosecution.
