Chateaubelair, St. Vincent and the Grenadines – November 15, 2025
At what appeared to be the best-attended campaign rally of this election season, in Chateaubelair on Saturday night, North Leeward New Democratic Party (NDP) candidate Dr Kishore Shallow electrified supporters with a sweeping development vision aimed at transforming the constituency into a hub of economic opportunity.
Speaking to a vibrant crowd at the Code Yellow event, Dr. Shallow revealed that a high-profile group of global investors will visit North Leeward in January 2026.
“Tonight, I wish to announce that in January 2026, I have invited some of the world’s leading investors to North Leeward on a discovery mission. On a recent trip to Dubai, I confirmed this with some interested investors,” he declared from the campaign platform. “At the top of the priority list when they come will be to meet with the newly elected Prime Minister, Dr. Godwin Friday.”
After the rally, Dr. Shallow expanded on the significance of this announcement, stressing that the initiative is designed to deliver tangible benefits to the people of North Leeward and by extension, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
“This won’t be just another discovery mission,” he explained. “We’ll be taking a careful, organized approach to make sure that everyone in North Leeward gets a fair chance to benefit. This will help to transform North Leeward into a tourism, sports, business and agriculture hub.”
Key Projects Highlighted at the Rally
The candidate outlined focused projects he intends to advance through the investor mission, including:
Transforming Troumaca Bottom Bay into a modern recreational facility equipped with a jetty to support marine and tourism activity.
Upgrading Sharpes Playing Field in Chateaubelair to accommodate events of international standard, positioning North Leeward as a host for major cultural activities.
Dr. Shallow told rally attendees that these initiatives would be central points of discussion when investors arrive early next year.
Support for North Windward Also Emphasized
In a gesture of collaboration across constituencies, Dr. Shallow assured supporters that the development drive would extend beyond North Leeward.
“I won’t be leaving out my sister, Shevern John,” he said to loud applause. “North Windward will also be part of this transformation.”
Campaign Energy Meets Development Vision
The night’s announcement added a policy-driven dimension to an already energized campaign atmosphere, as supporters cheered what many described as an ambitious development pledge for North Leeward.
Framed within the NDP’s wider message of renewal and economic revitalisation, Dr. Shallow’s rally remarks signal a future shaped by strategic investment, organised development planning, and equitable benefits for residents.
