The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Chess Federation has announced the postponement of the upcoming Tyrone Jack Memorial Chess Championship. The tournament, which was originally scheduled for this month, will now take place on January 17th and 18th, 2026, due to unforeseen circumstances.
According to the Federation, registration for the championship will open on December 15th, 2025. Players and interested participants will be able to access the registration link through the Federation’s Instagram and Facebook pages, as well as the General Chess Chat.
Despite the delay, the SVG Chess Federation says it remains committed to hosting a well-organized and engaging event across all categories, including Open, Women, and Youth divisions.
Public Relations Officer Orisia Robinson thanked members, players, and supporters for their understanding and continued interest in the tournament.
