The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Male Under-19 cricket team is in Dominica and set to begin competition today as the WINLOTT Windward Islands Schools Games get underway, running through to Saturday 18th April 2026.

    The squad was officially introduced at a press conference held on Wednesday 8th April at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex, where players and coaching staff expressed strong optimism ahead of the tournament.

    Head Coach Elron Lewis shared his confidence in the team’s readiness, noting that preparations had gone well and that the squad is prepared both physically and mentally. He expressed his expectation that the players will travel to Dominica and perform to the best of their ability.

    Captain Jordan Charles spoke of the weight of responsibility he carries and his confidence in himself and the team. He stressed that the squad’s focus will be on teamwork, which he believes will deliver positive results.

    The team departed St. Vincent and the Grenadines yesterday, Friday 10th April, for the Commonwealth of Dominica.

    The WINLOTT Games bring together young cricketers from across the Windward Islands, and the Vincentian contingent will be looking to make a strong impression on Dominican soil.

    All eyes will be on the young Vincentians as they take to the field today. The nation wishes them well.
