On March 28, 2025, police arrested and charged Shemar Garraway, a 24-year-old farmer of New Montrose, with the offence of Handling Stolen Goods. According to investigations, Garraway, knowing or believing that 300 lbs of beef were stolen goods, dishonestly received the same for his own benefit.
