Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Kevin Patrick, 27 years old Labour of Layou, on 24.11.18. According to investigations, between 10:00 a.m. on 23.11.18 and 09:35 a.m. on 24.11.18 at Layou, some unknown person(s) caused the death of Patrick by allegedly shooting him in the head and left arm with a gun. Patrick was reportedly discovered in an area known as First Land Mountain located in Layou where he farmed some lands. Police arrested and jointly charged Cordel Jacobs, 42 years old Labourer of Ashton, Kimron Thomas, 21 years old Labourer of Clifton and Xavier Dectoeau, 18 years old Labourer of Gordon Field, all of Union Island with Burglary, on 24.11.18. According to investigations, between 06:30 a.m. on 22.11.18 and 10:40 a.m. on 23.11.18 at Ashton, Union Island, the accused men allegedly entered the Galvanize Storage Building belonging to Sustainable Grenadines Inn and stole a quantity of items valued at EC$6,178.00. The men are expected to appear before the Magistrates Court to answer the charges.

Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne has committed 19 year old Kesean Cain of Diamonds to stand trial for the murder of 48 year old Brenda Layne of Chauncey. At a sitting of the Serious Offences Court on Monday, the Chief Magistrate found there was enough prima facie evidence presented for a case to be heard at the High Court before a judge and jury. Police are investigating a report of Aggravated Burglary and Rape made by a 46-year-old Self-Employed of Lowman’s Bay, against an unknown man. According to investigations, about 12:10 p.m. on 15.11.18 at Lowmans Bay, (i) the assailant who was armed with a gun, allegedly entered the dwelling house of the Complainant and stole an unknown sum of cash. (ii) For allegedly having Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with the Complainant, who at the time, did not consent to the intercourse. The matters are under investigations.
