On May 11, 2024, Roynel Polin/Peters, a 25-year-old laborer from Victoria Village, was arrested and charged by the police with the offenses of possession of an illegal firearm, burglary, and going equipped for burglary. Leon Shortte, a 33-year-old labourer from Mesopotamia, has been arrested and charged with the offence of Assault Bodily Harm. The accused allegedly assaulted a 73-year-old retiree from Mesopotamia by striking her with his hands, causing Actual Bodily Harm. The incident took place on March 7th, 2024 at approximately 1:00 pm in Mesopotamia. Investigations are ongoing.
