Some minibus operators working along the Gomea, Collina, Evesham and Carriere routes will withdraw their services on March 25 and 26. ANN received a letter signed by eight minibus operators/owners who have agreed to suspend their operations on both days due to what was termed as ‘deplorable’ conditions of the road in those areas. The New Democratic Party (NDP) is working to draw attention to the poor condition of playing fields and hard courts in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. In videos and photos posted on social media, footage was taken of playing areas which show broken walls and playing surfaces. The Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA) has expressed concern as it pertains to the significant change in weather patterns here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the impact it has on the nation’s water supply. Head of Water Resources at the CWSA, Danroy Ballantyne said that the wet season of 2023 had some of the lowest recorded rainfall in recent history. Signing ceremonies for laboratories at two secondary schools, one at the Troumaca Ontario Secondary School and the other at the West St George Secondary School was held on Monday. At Troumaca, the Science Laboratory will be retrofitted while at West St George Secondary, a new Commercial Food Preparation Laboratory will be built.
