The government of the United States has announced that it will be donating US$3.8 million towards the relief and recovery efforts in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. US Ambassador to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, H. E. Linda Taglialatela on Friday May 15th, 2021 announced the aid during a press conference at Cabinet room, adding that the donation is geared at providing access to emergency food, safe drinking water, hygiene kits and additional infrastructural support. Today our Villa administrative offices were closed for sanitisation.This decision came after being informed that approximately four of our employees attached to that building recently paid their colleague (another employee) a home visit, as that employee is presently on leave for unrelated reasons. St Vincent and the Grenadines recorded another murder within 48 hrs. Dead is Eddie Dabreo of Layou. Information received is that he was in the vicinity of ‘Didips’ Hideout when he and another resident got into an argument, Dabreo received a cut to his neck. He ran away from the scene and collapsed and died on a nearby bridge according to reports. The incident occurred at about 1 am on Monday 17th May 2021. This is the second murder within 48 hours, one man was shot and killed at Victoria Village on Saturday evening.
