World Pediatric Project (WPP) facilitated a successful recommencement of surgery on September 5, 2021, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The first General Orthopedic Mission since the COVID-19 pandemic took place at the Kingstown Clinic. With a full schedule of surgeries throughout the week, the clinic day had over 60 children, including regional children from Barbados and Dominica. The risk of COVID-19 spreading from Grenada has increased tremendously for St Vincent and the Grenadines. This is according to Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves who has been monitoring Grenada’s growing numbers.
