World Pediatric Project (WPP) facilitated a successful recommencement of surgery on September 5, 2021, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The first General Orthopedic Mission since the COVID-19 pandemic took place at the Kingstown Clinic. With a full schedule of surgeries throughout the week, the clinic day had over 60 children, including regional children from Barbados and Dominica. The risk of COVID-19 spreading from Grenada has increased tremendously for St Vincent and the Grenadines. This is according to Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves who has been monitoring Grenada’s growing numbers. Gonsalves has expressed concern about the location of Union Island and the movements between Carriacou, Petite Martinique, St Vincent and Mayreau.
