A 48-year-old Barbadian woman is the 11th person to die from COVID-19, the fourth in just over a week. Dante Brooks, the teenage son of Jamaican international entertainer Mavado, has been convicted of murder. Brooks, 18, was also found guilty of illegal possession of firearm and arson in the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston today. His co-accused, Andre Hinds, was also found guilty.
