The adult traveler arrived from the USA on Sunday, October 18, 2020, with a negative SASR-CoV-2 PCR test result. The adult will remain in isolation until cleared by two (2) negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR test results. PR- The Public Service Union has advised nurses at the Paget Farm Health Clinic to relocate to the Port Elizabeth Hospital. The nurses have been complaining for the past two years about the compromised physical structure of the building. Earth movements have shifted the foundation of the facility and, as a consequence, portions of the building have separated from each other. A Texas woman died from COVID-19 while on a flight from Arizona, officials announced this week. The unidentified Garland woman in her 30s began to have difficulty breathing while on the tarmac awaiting takeoff on July 25, news station WFAA reported. The woman, who had underlying health issues, was administered oxygen but ultimately died on the jetway, the outlet reported. T&T Airline Pilots Association (TTALPA) and Caribbean Airlines have agreed that all pilots’ salaries will be cut by 57 per cent—just over half—for the next three months, to support CAL’s cost cutting measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic. GENEVA, Switzerland (AFP) — The United Nations said Monday it would stockpile one billion syringes around the world by the end of 2021, to be used for the delivery of any future coronavirus vaccine. UNICEF, the UN Children’s Fund, said it aims to get 520 million syringes in its warehouses by the end of this year, to guarantee an initial supply in countries ahead of the vaccine. “The world will need as many syringes as doses of vaccine,” UNICEF said in a statement. The Girls’ High School emerged winners of the inaugural Spelling Bee competition that was organized and hosted by the Modern Languages’ Department of the St. Vincent Grammar School, last Friday, October 16.
