On 21.02.2021 police have arrested and charged Elizabeth Charles, 34 years old Unemployed of Calder with Controlled Drugs. According to investigations, the accused was allegedly met in possession of nine hundred and fifty-four (954) grammes of cannabis with the intent to supply it to another at Layou on 20.02.2021. Police have arrested and charged Joel Barker, 33 years old Labourer of Penniston with the offences of Criminal Assault, Common Assault and Threatening Language respectively on 19.02.21. According to investigations, Browne being armed with a knife allegedly committed the act of Criminal Assault when he raised it at a 22-year-old Chauffeur of the same address with the intent to commit the offence of wounding. One (1) case is a new positive PCR result from fifty-eight (58) samples processed so far for February 20th, resulting in a positivity rate of 1.72%. Kaieteur News – Suspicious movements by an outgoing female passenger, yesterday, at the Eugene Correia International Airport, Ogle, East Coast Demerara (ECD), led to her being busted with a quantity of suspected cocaine. According to what Kaieteur News was told by its sources, the passenger is identified as 23 years old, Tamira Melville.
