    Penniston resident charged with the offense of criminal assault

    Police have arrested and charged Joel Barker, 33 years old Labourer of Penniston with the offences of Criminal Assault, Common Assault and Threatening Language respectively on 19.02.21.

    According to investigations, Browne being armed with a knife allegedly committed the act of Criminal Assault when he raised it at a 22-year-old Chauffeur of the same address with the intent to commit the offence of wounding. Barker also allegedly assaulted the V/C by striking him with his hand, and threatened to kill him. The incident occurred at Penniston on 18.02.2020.

    Barker is expected to appear before the Magistrate Court to answer the charges.
